About me

My name is Abhishek Sisodia. I am a Computer Engineering Graduate from the University of Waterloo.

I graduated in May 2016 and I am currently working as a Mobile Developer at Scotiabank Digital Factory helping reinvent banking and leading the way for digital transformation. Throughout the course of my career, I have worked at many different companies and acquired valuable experience in the field of Software Developement.   • Flexbot - Chatbot developed to manage employee skills in a friendly and efficient way. Users can start a chat with the bot using slack or skype, find employees and update skills.
  • ParkAid - Developed a wearable device and a Android app for Parkinson’s patients to predict, detect and prevent falls caused due to freezing of gait.
  • Toronto Now - Android app that provides latest news, traffic and weather reports of Toronto
  • Tech Deals - Android app that aggregates tech deals from around the internet and provides access to them in one place
  • Shopping Flyers Canada - Android app that provides shopping flyers from different canadian retailers
  • QykSwipe - iOS app that provides a new way to browse instagram
  • EasyDoc- Web Application that allows patients to find doctors on recommendation of other patients

Currently working as a Mobile developer at Scotiabank Digital Factory helping reinvent banking and leading the way for digital transformation at the bank.

Software Consultant, Avanade (Formerly Infusion)

Avanade is a global software engineering, design and digital strategy firm that delivers digital business transformation for the enterprise. As part of my work at Avanade (formerly Infusion), I implemented solutions in different technologies including Android, Hololens, Unity and ASP.NET and successfully delivered variety of projects for different clients including TD Canada Trust, Samsung and Merck.

Android Developer, TD Canada Trust (Employed via Infusion)

Joined the Android team and developed new features for the TD Bank Android application while establishing best practices for peer reviews, coding standards and unit test coverage.

Software Developer, Merck (Employed via Infusion)

Merck is an American pharmaceutical company and one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. Implemented a Hololens application to help scientists at Merck to visualize and collaborate on complex 3D molecules.

Android Developer, Samsung (Employed via Infusion)

Involved in development of a retail experience solution including an Android application that connects to a desktop application running on TV to showcase features of Samsung smartphones.

Software Developer, Accedo (Formerly Digiflare)

Accedo builds video apps that deliver the best experience for viewers across TV, mobile and tablet. I joined the company as part of the Android team and developed Android applications for clients and applications for Google Android TV and Amazon Fire TV platforms.

Mobile Developer, Freshbooks

Freshbooks is a cloud accounting software company located in Toronto, Canada. Worked on Android and iOS apps of the company as part of the Mobile development team.

Software Developer, Youi Labs

You.i TV builds products that help media and entertainment companies deliver the best experiences for their customers on every screen. Worked on developing features for their software development kit as well as involved in the development of the Rogers Shomi application being developed by the company at the time.
